Join us for a special edition of our Trail Blazer walks on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at 8:30 a.m., as part of the City of Sandy Springs’ 20th Anniversary celebration!
This commemorative walk begins at the historic Williams-Payne House, where we’ll explore the fascinating history of the home and the original springs that gave Sandy Springs its name. From there, we’ll stroll to City Green to view the vibrant Sandy Springs Society Town Turtles and learn about their lasting impact on our community.
Leading the way will be Sandy Springs resident and history enthusiast Jan Collins, along with City Councilwoman Melissa Mular.
Along the route, we’ll uncover how local nonprofits helped shape the city’s beloved parks and greenspaces—from Morgan Falls Overlook Park to Heritage Green, and the creation of the Williams-Payne House Museum and Gardens.
The walk will last approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.
Registration is required and space is limited—sign up early to secure your spot!
