Register for 2024 SSC Trail Blazers Walks
Take part in Sandy Springs Conservancy guided Trail Blazer walks at parks in and around Sandy Springs! Walks take place on the second Saturday of the month from March – October at 8:30 am and last approximately an hour. Walks are limited to 25 participants. The minimum age to participate is 10 years old, and anyone under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Participants must register and sign a liability waiver online (below). Registration is first come first served. Registered walkers will be contacted for cancellation/rescheduling in the case of inclement weather.
Release and Hold Harmless
The undersigned, as a participant (“Participant”) in Sandy Springs Trail Blazers or other outdoor activity conducted by Sandy Springs Conservancy (collectively, “Outdoor Activity”) or as the parent or legal guardian of a Participant, to the full extent permitted by law, agrees to defend, indemnify, release, and save harmless the Sandy Springs Conservancy and the City of Sandy Springs, and each of their respective officers, directors, members, volunteers, independent contractors, agents, representatives, employees, successors and assigns (collectively, “Releasees”), from and against any suit, claim, cost, expense, damage, loss, or liability of any kind or nature whatsoever (including attorneys’ fees), caused by, arising out of, resulting from, or occurring in connection with participation in an Outdoor Activity, including but not limited to use of City of Sandy Springs parks or trails, whether or not caused in part by the active or passive negligence or other fault of a party indemnified hereunder. This release includes, but is not limited to, illnesses and infections of any kind and complications resulting therefrom. This release includes any and all illnesses or injuries arising out of participation, directly or indirectly, to Participant’s family members, including but not limited to death or permanent disability.
The undersigned acknowledges that execution of this Release and Hold Harmless Agreement is a condition to participation in Outdoor Activity. The undersigned acknowledges that Releasees make no representation, warranty, or guarantee about the safety of activities or the condition or suitability of parks and trails being utilized. The undersigned expressly acknowledges that Releasees make no representation, warranty or guarantee whatsoever about the safety of the participants.
The undersigned further represents that he or she has adequate insurance in place to cover the cost of any illness, injury or damage to person or property sustained by the undersigned while participating in Outdoor Activity and that he or she understands that Releasees have relied upon this representation as a condition to the undersigned’s participation in Outdoor Activity.
