The Sandy Springs Conservancy is pleased to announce a line-up Trail Blazers walks for 2024 featuring treasured Sandy Springs parks as well as parks in neighboring communities with expert guides to lead the way!

Join us once a month this year to explore these locations:

  • Chastain Park with guide Brian Barnes of the Chastain Park Conservancy on March 9
  • Morgan Falls Overlook Park and the first section of the Springway with Terry Morris of the SSC Board on April 13
  • Big Trees Forest Preserve Nature Walk with Helen Tapp on May 11
  • City Green, the new Veteran Park and Library Reading Garden on June 8
  • Brookrun Park in Dunwoody with guide Brent Walker July  13
  • Island Ford with the Chattahoochee National Park Conservancy on August 10
  • West Palisades Unit of the Chattahoochee River NRA with Sally Bethea on September 14
  • Crooked Creek on October 12

Events & Activities – Sandy Springs Conservancy

Our popular Trail Blazers series of monthly guided walks take place on the second Saturdays of the month at 8:30 a.m. different parks in Sandy Springs and neighboring communities. Our walks last an hour and are led by guides who share with us their knowledge/history and/or interesting facts of the location. Registration is required and space is limited.
