Join us for a private guided Trail Blazers walk for residents of Victoria Heights Condo Association on Saturday, March 29 at 8:30 AM to visit the first section of the new Springway trail! The 1.6 mile paved pathway connects Morgan Falls Overlook Park to Cimaron Pkwy and Roswell Rd. The trail begins on Morgan Falls Rd near the entrance to Morgan Falls Overlook Park, goes past the Morgan Falls dam on the Chattahoochee River, turns uphill and features a boardwalk around Orkin Lake. This is the first section of a planned 5-mile loop.
The walk will be led by Terry Morris and Sam Elrod of the Sandy Springs Conservancy board of directors. SSC has been working closely with the city on the trail plan and implementation. – Info on the Springway Trail Plan – The walk is expected to last 1.5 hours.

About SSC Trail Blazers
Sandy Springs Conservancy’s Trail Blazers is a series of monthly guided walks and hikes at local parks from March to October! Each month SSC Trail Blazers walks/hikes take place at different parks in Sandy Springs and neighboring communities. SSC provides knowledgeable guides to share the history of the parks and to lead small groups on hikes through parks and trails. Trail Blazer events typically take place the first or second Saturday of the month and take about 1.5 to 2 hours.
Participants will meet at the scheduled park or trailhead location. Walks are limited to 25 participants. The minimum age to participate is 10 years old, and anyone under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Participants must register and sign a liability waiver online. Registration is first come first served. Registered participants will be contacted for cancellation/rescheduling in the case of inclement weather.
