Micro Projects & Grant Program

The Sandy Springs Conservancy Micro Project grant program provides small grants to volunteer-driven community groups and others looking to enhance, improve or add amenities to parks, trails and greenspaces for public use in Sandy Springs.

Members of the community are invited to get involved the Micro Project program by either donating funds or applying for grants. Project proposals are welcome and grants are available!

The grant program considers projects that can be completed within a year and cost under $5,000. Volunteer groups from businesses, congregations, schools, scouts or other groups of citizens are welcome to submit project proposals to apply for grants. Micro Project grant winners are expected to provide the volunteer manpower to plan the project, secure the supplies and implement the proposed project. Scout projects are encouraged to seek donations of supplies and raise funds that may be matched by a Micro Project grant.

SSC may assist the grant winners in coordinating with the property owners if necessary, usually a governmental agency, school or church, to give the group permission for the project.

Projects are selected based on the number of individuals to benefit from the completed project, the length of time to complete the project and the assessment of the feasibility of timely implementation.

Individuals and community groups interested in applying for Micro Project grants please submit an application with project details and email it to director@sandyspringsconservancy.org.
