Watersheds in Sandy Springs

We all live in a watershed - an area where rain and ground water drain into a stream, a lake or river. Healthy watersheds are a vital part of our environment and our community. The Sandy Springs Conservancy supports local and regional efforts to protect our watersheds.

We have six watersheds in Sandy Springs which flow into the Chattahoochee River along our 18 mile river corridor. Crooked Creek, Sullivans Creek, Heards Creek, Marsh Creek, and Long Island Creek watersheds are within our city borders. We share Nancy Creek Watershed with DeKalb County.
